Workshop Rap & Hip-Hop

It was a great pleasure to receive the American rapper Corey De Pina, coordinating leadership development’s programs at ZUMIX, one of the major NGOs in the USA whose goal is to empower youth through music.

Corey was grown up in the Boston’s neighbourhoods from a capeverdian immigrants’ family.

This morning, through a strong but super cool Americanised creole, he shared with a bunch of local rappers his personal experience and wide knowledge about the history of hip-hop’s culture and its evolution over the years.

As Tarrafal has its own hip-hop’s reality, De Pina’s successful story can bring to all those young skilled kickers of the beat inspiration, strength and self-believe for a brighter future.
