Delta Cultura of Cape Verde (DCCV), which was selected by FIFA to be one of the twenty associations in Africa hosting the Football for Hope Centre (Football for Hope), will inaugurate the Tarrafal Football for Hope Centre in Saturday 22 June of 2013.
FIFA and streetfootballworld are building 20 Football for Hope Centres (five in South Africa and 15 other African countries), as part of the official campaign – 20 Centres for FIFA 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
The project will benefit 20 African communities socio-economically disadvantaged, providing local organizations an infrastructure to provide vital services in the area of social development through football.

Since 2002, DCCV has been using football for social development, especially in the educational area. in 2004, continuing with the same goal, DCCV became part of the international network of organizations that use football for social development, including Streetfootballworld and Football for Hope Movement FIFA (from 2007) and therefore DCCV was selected to host the Football for Hope Centre Tarrafal, and that is how the 220 children of Tarrafal will benefit from this FIFA campaign.

The construction of the center will be composed of a computer room, a library, multi-purpose room and a field turf of 40 x 20m, and therefore FIFA and streetfootballworld will provide financial and material support for the next three years for the development of a sustainable project.
The inauguration ceremony, which will have the remarkable presence of the children who are part of the Tarrafal Football for Hope Centre, will also count with the presence of distinguished guests from FIFA, the Streetfootballworld, representatives of national and local government, and the Cape Verdean Federation of Football (CFF).
As for the highlight and the end of the ceremony there will be a cultural program with local and national artists.
The party will start at 10 am of June 22nd with an opened closure.
