Delta Cultura Educational Centre (DCEC) founded in 2002, headquartered in Achada Tomás – Tarrafal, 50 meters from the Electric Central Station, comes through this to report. DCEC which works with children and young people across the county in the areas of Education, Training, Culture and Sport, is a space equipped with classrooms, a carpentry workshop, a field turf size 40 × 20, a computer room, a kitchen, a showroom, and a multipurpose room still contemplating a library which will be opened from Monday to Friday during normal business hours, from 08:00 to 12:00 during the morning and from 14:00 to 17:00 in the afternoon. The various programs undertaken by DCEC, highlight the learning support classes of explanation and group work, training and football games, the lectures, the various workshops, research on the internet for school work available to all students from Tarrafal and even medical and psychological follow-ups, with a universe of limited resources both human and financial. But even in the face of these constraints, the DCEC informs all community associations, sport groups, small groups, individuals, businesses and other interested parties that the DCEC is again and always, open to all to share knowledge, exchanges, joint projects, workshops and more.
