The fourth editon of the Batukufestival was once more one of the highlights of the cultural events in Tarrafal. 28 groups from the island of Santiagio gathered to celebrate Batuku. The audience was enthusiastic from the beginning at 14:00 until the end at 22:00. For the first time Marisa, the projectmanager of the festival, was able to enlist important cooperation partners. The community of Tarrafal, a travelagency who financed the very good sound system, a bank and a few small busineses from Tarrafal. By now the festival is a fix element of the cultural activities in Tarrafal. So we are sure there will be a continuation next year. And once more it will be better and more successfull than its antecessor.
