With the start of the new school year in Cabo Verde, under the motto “All and all, without distinction of any order, has the right to a quality education,” also begins a new year for the 250 children and youth who Delta Cultura Educational Center (DCEC) in Achada Thomas.

For this year, the staff of DCEC decided to try a new methodology of work with children and youth, by creating in the center a variety of specific rooms for each area in which the Delta Cultura  acts.

In this case, it was created a Language Room, with classes weekly in French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Criole and German, Music Room, where they have the opportunity to learn to play guitar, flute, batuco lessons. The IT Room, the Art Room, one Multi-Purpose Room, one Playground fully equipped with recycled materials, a Turf field Football Pitch in dimensions of 40×20 and a dust field, and the recent a Children’s Kindergarten.

To be recalled that the frequency of children and youth in DCEC is totally free throughout the school year, where kids have the opportunity to participate in which activity he/she chooses to, with no kind of demand, punishment or rewards.
