This morning our kids took part in some language games hold in portuguese, english and french. Delta Cultura permanently provides its children school support, and mostly gives them the opportunity to improve even more their language skills. As capeverdian are bilingual since the earliest age (kriolu in their daily life, portuguese at school), their potential in learning languages is higher than the average and actually represents an important resource for the future. In fact, our monitors try to get the kids used to develop their skills and make them feel confortable enough to practice those skills. The real barrier to overcome is shyness. Language games are definitely challenging but certainly a chance to seize.
