The Percussion group “Bloco Baiano” fro Giessen in Germany was here recently in Tarrafal. We had detailed discussions and active exchanges took place, as well as a joint session with the Batukaderas. Thus it makes us happy that the group around Markus Leukel brings there long desired project on the way –  a music school in the heart of Sao Filipes on the volcanic island Fogo , which one has an amazing view of  from the Centro on clear days … There is a beautiful article about the journey of “Bloco Baiano” to Cape Verde and about the music school project in Fogo online with the Giessener Allgmeinen.
