Leonilde and her math difficulties (story told by Zito / educator and football coach)

I study math with Leonilde (11 years old) almost every day. One day she asked me if I finished school. I said yes and asked why she wanted to know. “Because you explain much better than the teachers in school do. With you, I always understand everything but with the teachers not.” A few days later I sat with an older student and learned mathematics. Leonilde came over and took a quick look at what we were learning.
